Chenery grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Vancouver, Washington to be exact. Chenery graduated Phlebotomy from Clark College in 1996. Chenery also received her Oregon EMT Certification in 2019. She has worked as a phlebotomist in the PNW for 25 years. Chenery traveled to India in 2014 on a medical mission. Chenery loves spending time with her husband, Doug. They love to explore different countries. Most recently they spent three weeks in Havana, Cuba. They also spend time exploring the PNW and all it entails, including biking, swimming and hiking. Most of all they love taking their dogs, Rowdy and Beastley, (life jackets included) out on the kayaks, spending the day picking blackberries on the side of the river. Loyalty and positivity are Chenery’s best attributes.
Krissy Ormond has worked as a phlebotomist for 12 years for the same company and became a huge part of that community! Because of that, she was chosen to draw the entire team of the Portland Timbers! She went to school for medical assisting 14 years ago and has loved the heath-care scene ever since. She recently became a certified phlebotomy technician from Phlebotomy Training Specialists, and she loves sharing all her experiences with her students, preparing them for a great future in phlebotomy. When not teaching phlebotomy, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
Johan Limbourg brings to PTS over 18 years of experience in the healthcare field. He has been a Certified Medical Assistant for the past 16 years – and most recently as a healthcare educator in clinical laboratory education for the past 12 years. He is a CPR instructor with the AHA, and a currently member of the Certifying Board for the AAMA for the past 4 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to phlebotomy, and believes that anyone can be successful with dedication and practice. He looks forward to getting the chance to share his knowledge with all students.
Kelly Schmidt started her phlebotomy career in early 2015, after attending Pima Medical Institute located in Renton Washington. Kelly has worked in a variety of phlebotomy positions ranging from hospital stat labs, doctors offices, mobile phlebotomy and outpatient lab sites. She is a very organized and detailed oriented person. Kelly is a wife and mother to a wonderful son name Sawyer. Khmer and her husband Brandon grew up in the small town of La Pine Oregon, where they met while attending the same high school. She loves the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and loves to test her hand at new recipes/ crafts. Kelly is excited to introduce her students to the wonderful world of phlebotomy and share her experiences and stories.
